Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,330 Troops, 59 Artillery Systems, and 4 Tanks in One Day

Russian forces lost an estimated 1,330 personnel, four tanks, and 59 artillery systems over the past 24 hours, according to Ukraine's General Staff on August 5.

The military said Russia's total estimated personnel losses since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, have risen to approximately 1,454,210 troops killed or wounded.

According to the latest update, Ukrainian forces also destroyed three armored combat vehicles, four multiple launch rocket systems, seven air defense systems, four unmanned ground vehicles, 1,811 operational-tactical drones, 416 military vehicles and fuel tankers, and one piece of special equipment.

The General Staff estimates Russia's cumulative equipment losses at 12,246 tanks, 25,087 armored combat vehicles, 47,455 artillery systems, 2,006 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,547 air defense systems, 439 aircraft, 354 helicopters, 2,138 unmanned ground vehicles, 446,266 operational-tactical drones, 5,007 cruise missiles, 34 warships and boats, two submarines, 130,682 military vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,496 pieces of special equipment.

The General Staff also reported that 261 combat engagements between Ukrainian and Russian forces took place over the previous 24 hours.

Several days earlier, it was reported that Ukrainian drone operators from the National Guard destroyed a Russian BM-27 Uragan multiple-launch rocket system carrying a full ammunition load as it was advancing toward a firing position in the Novopavlivka sector of the Donetsk region.
