Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,330 Troops, 8 Tanks and 85 Artillery Systems in One Day

Russian forces lost another 1,330 troops, eight tanks, and 85 artillery systems over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on June 8.

According to the latest figures, Russia’s total estimated personnel losses since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have reached approximately 1,374,950.

Ukraine’s military also reported the destruction of five armored combat vehicles, three multiple launch rocket systems, two air defense systems, 12 ground robotic systems, 2,161 operational-tactical drones, 363 vehicles and fuel tankers, and two pieces of special equipment over the past day.

Overall, Russian equipment losses reported by Ukraine now include 11,997 tanks, 24,705 armored combat vehicles, 43,456 artillery systems, 1,847 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,409 air defense systems, 436 aircraft, 353 helicopters, 336,224 operational-tactical drones, 4,733 cruise missiles, 33 ships and boats, two submarines, 104,414 vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,259 pieces of special equipment.

The General Staff added that 240 combat engagements took place along the front line over the past day as Ukrainian Defense Forces continued to repel Russian attacks across multiple sectors.

Earlier, reports emerged that Ukraine’s Armed Forces doubled the number of strikes against Russian targets located more than 50 kilometers behind the front line in May, as Kyiv expanded its campaign against military logistics, transport networks, and supply infrastructure.
