Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,380 Troops, 3 Tanks, 82 Artillery Systems and Air Defense Asset in One Day

Russia lost 1,380 troops, three tanks, 82 artillery systems, and an air defense system in the past 24 hours, while Ukrainian forces repelled 269 attacks along the front line.

Russian forces lost another 1,380 troops, three tanks, 82 artillery systems, and one air defense system over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on June 6.

According to the latest figures, Russia’s total estimated personnel losses since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have reached approximately 1,372,270.

Ukraine’s military also reported the destruction of 12 armored combat vehicles, five multiple launch rocket systems, nine ground robotic systems, 2,046 operational-tactical drones, 358 vehicles and fuel tankers, and three pieces of special equipment over the past day.

Overall, Russian equipment losses reported by Ukraine now include 11,983 tanks, 24,696 armored combat vehicles, 43,397 artillery systems, 1,837 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,405 air defense systems, 436 aircraft, 353 helicopters, 331,818 operational-tactical drones, 4,733 cruise missiles, 33 ships and boats, two submarines, 103,658 vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,253 pieces of special equipment.

The General Staff added that 269 combat engagements took place along the front line over the past day as Ukrainian Defense Forces continued to repel Russian attacks across multiple sectors.

The heaviest fighting was reported on the Huliaipole axis, where Russian forces launched 40 assaults. Ukrainian troops also repelled 31 attacks on the Pokrovsk axis, 29 on the Lyman axis, and 22 on the Kostiantynivka axis, according to the General Staff.

Ukraine’s military said Russian forces carried out one missile strike, 96 airstrikes involving 295 guided aerial bombs, launched more than 10,000 attack drones, and conducted over 3,100 shelling attacks against Ukrainian positions and settlements during the reporting period.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Air Force, missile forces, and artillery struck six Russian troop concentration areas, four drone command posts, and five artillery systems over the past 24 hours.

Earlier, Ukrainian border guards from the Strix unit shot down a rare Russian Skat-450M reconnaissance drone, a specialized UAV reportedly used to identify targets for Iskander missile strikes. Fewer than 20 drones of this type have been destroyed during the full-scale war, with each unit estimated to cost around $400,000.
