Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,440 Troops, 9 Tanks, and 70 Artillery Systems in One Day

Russian forces lost another 1,440 troops, nine tanks, eight armored combat vehicles, and 70 artillery systems over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on July 26.

Russia’s total estimated personnel losses since launching its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have now reached approximately 1,438,990 troops killed or wounded.

Ukraine also reported the destruction of one multiple launch rocket system, eight UGVs, 1,450 operational-tactical drones, one cruise missile, 453 vehicles and fuel tankers, and three pieces of special equipment over the past day.

Russia’s cumulative equipment losses now stand at 12,217 tanks, 25,019 armored combat vehicles, 46,794 artillery systems, 1,969 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,518 air defense systems, 439 aircraft, 354 helicopters, 2,031 UGVs, 428,286 operational-tactical drones, 4,944 cruise missiles, 34 ships and boats, two submarines, 125,811 vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,465 pieces of special equipment.

Ukraine’s General Staff recorded 258 combat engagements across the front over the past day, with the heaviest fighting reported in the Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka, Huliaipole, and Sloviansk directions.

Earlier, Ukraine’s Defense Forces destroyed Russia’s new Sarma multiple launch rocket system for the first time during fighting in the Donetsk region. The lighter, HIMARS-like 300 mm launcher was struck by a Ukrainian attack drone while supporting a large-scale Russian mechanized assault near Shakhove.
