Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,470 Troops, 82 Artillery Systems, and 4 MLRS in One Day

Russian forces suffered an estimated 1,470 personnel casualties and lost 82 artillery systems, four multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), and two air defense systems over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on August 1.

Russia’s total estimated personnel losses since launching its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have now reached approximately 1,447,620.

Ukraine also reported the destruction of four armored combat vehicles, 16 UGVs, 1,838 operational-tactical UAVs, 463 vehicles and fuel tankers, and one piece of special equipment.

Russia’s cumulative losses now include 12,231 tanks, 25,060 armored combat vehicles, 47,127 artillery systems, 1,980 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,527 air defense systems, 439 aircraft, 354 helicopters, 2,097 UGVs, 437,503 operational-tactical UAVs, 5,005 cruise missiles, 34 ships and boats, two submarines, 128,497 vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,484 pieces of special equipment.

Ukraine recorded 243 combat engagements across the front over the past day, including 37 in the Pokrovsk direction, 26 in the Kostiantynivka direction, and 19 in the Sloviansk direction.

Russian forces carried out one missile strike involving two missiles and launched 75 airstrikes, dropping 226 guided aerial bombs. They also deployed 10,172 attack drones and conducted 3,295 attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas, including 30 using multiple launch rocket systems.

Ukraine’s missile forces and artillery struck two Russian UAV command posts, 15 areas where personnel were concentrated, one ammunition depot, and one additional high-value target.

Earlier, Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces struck an Ozon logistics hub in Russia’s Tatarstan region for the first time, while another drone attack hit a Wildberries logistics center in Volgograd—the ninth Wildberries facility targeted during Ukraine’s expanding campaign against Russia’s commercial logistics network.
