Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,490 Troops, 64 Artillery Systems in One Day

Russia lost an estimated 1,490 troops, 64 artillery systems and 23 unmanned ground vehicles over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on September 11.

According to the latest Ukrainian military figures, Russia’s total personnel losses since the start of its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have reached approximately 1,503,880.

Russian forces also lost two tanks and seven armored combat vehicles during the latest reporting period, bringing cumulative losses to 12,341 tanks and 25,312 armored combat vehicles.

Artillery losses rose to 49,516 systems after another 64 were recorded over the past day. Ukraine also reported two Russian multiple-launch rocket systems and four air defense systems lost, raising their respective totals to 2,109 and 1,622.

One of the more unusual figures in the September 11 report was the loss of 23 Russian UGVs in a single day, bringing the cumulative total in that category to 2,573.

Ukraine also reported another 1,925 operational-tactical UAVs lost over the past 24 hours, raising the overall figure to 510,130.

Russia’s estimated aviation losses remained unchanged at 441 aircraft and 356 helicopters, while cruise missile losses stayed at 5,103.

Another 590 vehicles and fuel tankers and 16 pieces of special equipment were recorded as lost, bringing those cumulative totals to 147,211 and 4,666. Russia’s estimated naval losses remain at 35 ships and boats and two submarines.

Fighting across the front remained intense, with Ukrainian forces recording 235 combat engagements during the latest reporting period.

Earlier, reports emerged that Russia’s military personnel losses since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine have surpassed 1.5 million killed and wounded, 100 times more than Soviet Union lost in the Afghanistan War.
