Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,520 Troops, 5 Tanks, and 3 Air Defense Systems in One Day

Russian forces sustained an additional 1,520 personnel casualties over the past 24 hours, while Ukraine’s military reported the destruction of five tanks, seven armored combat vehicles, and 92 artillery systems, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on July 19.

The General Staff estimated Russia’s total personnel losses since the start of its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, at approximately 1,428,930 troops killed or wounded.

The latest daily update also said Ukrainian forces destroyed four multiple launch rocket systems, three air defense systems, 13 ground robotic platforms, 1,858 operational-tactical drones, one cruise missile, 547 military vehicles and fuel tankers, and two units of special equipment.

According to the Ukrainian military’s cumulative estimates, Russia has now lost 12,156 tanks, 24,963 armored combat vehicles, 46,261 artillery systems, 1,950 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,505 air defense systems, 438 aircraft, 354 helicopters, 1,956 ground robotic systems, 416,656 operational-tactical UAVs, 4,915 cruise missiles, 34 warships and boats, two submarines, 122,289 military vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,430 pieces of special equipment.

Ukraine’s General Staff also reported that 249 combat engagements took place along the front line during the reporting period, with the heaviest fighting recorded in the Pokrovsk, Sloviansk, and Kostiantynivka sectors.

Russian forces carried out one missile strike using three missiles and conducted 99 airstrikes, dropping 311 guided aerial bombs. They also deployed 10,968 attack drones and shelled Ukrainian positions and settlements 3,552 times, including 43 strikes using multiple launch rocket systems.

Over the same period, Ukrainian aviation, missile forces, and artillery struck one Russian command post, five concentrations of personnel, seven drone command posts, and another important military target.

Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin claimed that Ukraine launched 1,892 drones toward the Moscow region between July 11 and 18, with Russian air defenses reportedly intercepting most of them before they reached the capital.
