Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,520 Troops, 69 Artillery Systems in One Day

Russia lost an estimated 1,520 troops, 69 artillery systems and 15 armored combat vehicles over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on September 10.
The latest figures bring Russia’s estimated personnel losses since the start of its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, to approximately 1,502,390.

Russian forces also lost one tank over the latest reporting period, bringing cumulative losses to 12,339 tanks and 25,305 armored combat vehicles.
Artillery losses rose to 49,452 systems after another 69 were recorded over the past day. Ukraine also reported two Russian multiple-launch rocket systems and five air defense systems lost, raising their respective totals to 2,107 and 1,618.

Russia also lost one helicopter, according to the General Staff, bringing its estimated cumulative helicopter losses to 356. Aircraft losses remained unchanged at 441.
Another 16 unmanned ground systems were recorded as lost, raising Russia’s total in that category to 2,550.
Ukraine also reported 2,017 operational-tactical UAVs lost over the past 24 hours, bringing the cumulative figure to 508,205.

Russia’s other estimated losses stand at 5,103 cruise missiles, 35 ships and boats, two submarines, 146,621 vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,650 pieces of special equipment. Another 613 vehicles and fuel tankers were recorded as lost during the latest reporting period.
Fighting across the front remained intense, with Ukrainian forces recording 277 combat engagements over the previous day.
Russia carried out 91 airstrikes and dropped 331 guided aerial bombs, according to the General Staff. Russian forces also deployed 10,913 strike drones and conducted 2,117 strikes against Ukrainian positions and populated areas.
Earlier, reports emerged that Russian forces have claimed the capture of 12 settlements in Ukraine’s Sumy region since the beginning of 2026, but none of those reports accurately reflect the situation on the ground.
