According to Ukraine’s General Staff on September 13, Russia’s total personnel losses since the start of its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have reached approximately 1,506,900.

Russian forces also lost two tanks and eight armored combat vehicles during the latest reporting period, bringing cumulative losses to 12,344 tanks and 25,330 armored combat vehicles.

Artillery losses rose to 49,678 systems after another 77 were recorded over the past day. Ukraine also reported five Russian multiple-launch rocket systems and two air defense systems lost, raising their respective totals to 2,120 and 1,635.

Russia’s estimated aircraft and helicopter losses remained unchanged at 442 and 356, respectively.

Ukraine also reported 17 Russian unmanned ground vehicles lost over the past 24 hours, bringing the cumulative total in that category to 2,603. Another 2,142 operational-tactical UAVs were recorded as lost, raising the overall figure to 514,317. Russian cruise missile losses increased by eight to 5,111.

Russian forces also lost another 410 vehicles and fuel tankers and five pieces of special equipment, bringing those cumulative totals to 148,259 and 4,681. Russia’s estimated naval losses remained at 35 ships and boats and two submarines.

Fighting across the front remained intense, with Ukrainian forces recording 249 combat engagements during the latest reporting period. The heaviest Russian assault activity was reported in the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka sectors, where Russian forces carried out 29 and 15 attacks, respectively.

The General Staff also reported that Russian forces conducted two missile strikes and 98 airstrikes over the past day, dropping 348 guided aerial bombs. Russian troops also deployed 11,357 attack drones and carried out 2,815 shelling attacks against Ukrainian positions and settlements.

Earlier, Ukraine may have struck the Russian Navy’s Caspian Flotilla flagship Tatarstan during an overnight attack on Kaspiysk in Russia’s Dagestan region. Satellite imagery published by the Ukrainian OSINT project Exilenova+ appeared to show possible damage to the Gepard-class patrol ship, though the strike has not been independently confirmed.
