Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,600 Troops, 82 Artillery Systems in One Day

Russian forces suffered an estimated 1,600 personnel casualties and lost two tanks and 82 artillery systems over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on July 20.

Russia’s total estimated personnel losses since launching its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have now reached approximately 1,430,530 troops killed or wounded.

Ukraine also reported the destruction of eight armored combat vehicles, three multiple launch rocket systems, six air defense systems, nine UGVs, 1,769 operational-tactical UAVs, 18 cruise missiles, 605 vehicles and fuel tankers, and three pieces of special equipment.

Russia’s cumulative equipment losses now stand at 12,158 tanks, 24,971 armored combat vehicles, 46,343 artillery systems, 1,953 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,511 air defense systems, 438 aircraft, 354 helicopters, 1,965 UGVs, 418,425 operational-tactical UAVs, 4,933 cruise missiles, 34 ships and boats, two submarines, 122,894 vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,433 pieces of special equipment.

Ukraine’s General Staff recorded 235 combat engagements between Ukrainian and Russian forces over the past day.

Recently, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported that Russia is losing more than 400 troops for every square kilometer of territory it captures in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk region.
