Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,700 Troops, 74 Artillery Systems and 2,124 UAVs in One Day

Russia sustained an estimated 1,700 personnel losses, along with 74 artillery systems and 2,124 operational-tactical UAVs over the latest 24-hour period, Ukraine’s General Staff reported.

As of September 14, Russia’s cumulative personnel losses since the beginning of its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, stood at approximately 1,508,600.

The latest tally also included one tank and one armored combat vehicle, bringing Russia’s total estimated losses in those categories to 12,345 tanks and 25,331 armored combat vehicles.

Another 74 artillery systems were recorded as lost, pushing the cumulative figure to 49,752. Russian forces also lost seven multiple-launch rocket systems and two air defense systems, bringing their respective totals to 2,127 and 1,637.

Estimated aircraft and helicopter losses remained unchanged at 442 and 356, respectively.

The General Staff also recorded the loss of 12 Russian unmanned ground vehicles, increasing the overall total to 2,615. Another 2,124 operational-tactical UAVs were added to the tally, bringing cumulative drone losses to 516,441, while the number of cruise missiles remained unchanged at 5,111.

Russia also lost an estimated 548 vehicles and fuel tankers and two pieces of special equipment over the past day. Cumulative losses in those categories now stand at 148,807 and 4,683, respectively. Naval losses remained unchanged at 35 ships and boats and two submarines.

Meanwhile, fighting remained intense along the frontline, with Ukrainian forces recording 208 combat engagements during the latest reporting period.

Ukraine has also continued targeting Russian military-linked infrastructure beyond the frontline. Satellite imagery recently revealed extensive damage to Russia’s Volgogradpromproekt chemical plant following a Ukrainian FP-5 Flamingo cruise missile strike, including the destruction of part of the facility’s main production building.
