Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,960 Troops, 43 Artillery Systems and 1,439 UAVs in One Day

Ukraine’s General Staff reported that Russian forces suffered approximately 1,960 personnel losses over the past 24 hours, alongside 43 artillery systems and 1,439 operational-tactical UAVs.
Russia’s total personnel losses since launching its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, reached approximately 1,513,490 as of September 17.

The latest figures also included six armored combat vehicles and one tank, raising Russia’s cumulative losses in these categories to 25,345 and 12,346, respectively.
Russian forces also lost 43 artillery systems, seven multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS), and three air defense systems over the past day. Their total recorded losses now stand at 49,863 artillery systems, 2,139 MLRS, and 1,645 air defense systems.
The number of Russian aircraft and helicopters recorded as lost remained unchanged at 442 and 356.

Meanwhile, the General Staff recorded 1,439 operational-tactical UAVs lost over the latest 24-hour period, bringing the cumulative total to 520,508. Russia also lost 14 unmanned ground vehicles, increasing the overall figure to 2,644, while recorded cruise missile losses remained at 5,111.
In addition, 461 vehicles and fuel tankers and five pieces of special equipment were recorded as lost, bringing the respective totals to 150,018 and 4,697. Naval losses remained unchanged at 35 ships and boats and two submarines.
The latest figures come shortly after Ukrainian forces carried out strikes against Russian military assets in Russian-occupied Crimea. According to Ukraine’s General Staff, a Russian Su-24 combat aircraft was targeted at the Saky airfield during strikes conducted on September 15 and overnight into September 16.
