Another 322 vehicles and fuel tankers were recorded as lost over the past day, pushing the cumulative total to 167,240. Two additional pieces of special equipment brought that figure to 4,858.
Fighting remained intense across the front, with Ukrainian and Russian forces clashing 177 times during the latest reporting period.
Earlier, reports emerged that Russia’s offensive in Ukraine has effectively gone into reverse in recent weeks, with Moscow losing more territory than it has captured since the beginning of September while its personnel losses continue to climb, according to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
ISW estimates that since September 1, Russian forces have lost a net 241 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory—meaning Ukrainian gains have exceeded Russian advances by that amount.
