Regional authorities issued a drone attack warning at approximately 3:38 a.m. local time. Residents subsequently shared videos reportedly showing flames at the station. Russian officials had not confirmed the reported strike or fire at the time of publication.
The Nikolskoye facility belongs to the Transneft-Druzhba pipeline system and supports crude oil transportation through major Russian pipeline routes, including the Kuybyshev–Unecha-2 pipeline.
The station operates pumping equipment and automated pressure-control systems designed to maintain oil flow through the network. An upgraded pressure-regulation system was commissioned at the facility in May 2026.

The wider Druzhba pipeline network extends approximately 5,500 kilometers and connects Russian oil infrastructure with export routes serving parts of Central Europe.
The extent of damage to Nikolskoye remains unclear, and there has been no confirmed information about disruptions to oil transportation following the reported attack.
In August 2025, Ukrainian drone forces struck the nearby Nikolskoye-1 pumping station in Russia’s Tambov region, triggering a fire and temporarily halting oil flows through the Druzhba pipeline. Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed the operation, which targeted infrastructure supporting Russian oil exports to Europe.
