According to a Facebook statement by Lithuanian Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius on October 18, Lithuanian security services had previously warned the company about potential attacks, prompting it to strengthen security at the facility.

The prime minister said the attempted attack occurred shortly after midnight. Authorities have not publicly identified the suspects or disclosed the company’s name, the facility’s location, or the methods used in the attempted arson.

The incident comes amid a series of suspected attacks targeting Starlink infrastructure across Europe, including facilities associated with satellite communications used by Ukraine.

On September 23, a Starlink ground station in Poland was set on fire. Polish prosecutors are investigating the incident as a possible act of sabotage involving Russian intelligence services. On October 12, German authorities detained two Turkish nationals suspected of involvement in the attack.
