Videos circulating on social media showed explosions and thick smoke rising from several locations across Voronezh. The extent of damage to the suspected industrial targets has not been independently verified.
VASO is a major Russian aircraft manufacturing facility operating within the United Aircraft Corporation through the Ilyushin aviation complex. The plant participates in the production of Il-96 long-range aircraft and manufactures components for other aircraft models.
The second suspected target, Voronezhsintezkauchuk, belongs to Russian petrochemical group Sibur. The facility produces synthetic rubber, thermoplastic elastomers, and polymer materials used in various industrial applications.

Supernova+ also reported a possible strike near the Northern Bridge, which connects the city’s central and eastern districts. Smoke was observed near the crossing, and reports indicated that access to the bridge had been restricted.
Russian outlet Astra geolocated footage showing explosions and damage in several residential neighborhoods, including buildings on Uritskogo Street and 25 January Street. The Galereya Chizhova business center in central Voronezh was also reportedly struck.
Earlier, Ukrainian forces targeted the Proton-Electrotex electronics plant in Orel, another facility associated with Russia’s defense supply chain. Such operations have increasingly focused on industrial infrastructure supporting Russian weapons production.
