According to Defense Express on May 4, Ukrainian manufacturer Inguar Defence presented the Inguar-3 MED as a dedicated medevac platform based on its combat-proven armored vehicle already in service with Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
The new version replaces the standard rear troop doors with a fast-loading ramp equipped with guide rails, allowing quicker and more controlled loading of stretchers.
Inside, the vehicle has been reconfigured from a troop compartment into a medical module, featuring mounting points for stretchers and space for specialized equipment. The layout is modular, enabling adaptation depending on mission requirements.
The Inguar-3 MED is designed to carry two wounded personnel at a time, prioritizing stability and medical support during transport rather than maximum capacity.
The vehicle retains the base platform’s protection, rated at Level 3 under STANAG 4569, along with its independent suspension and high-mobility chassis suited for rough terrain.
According to Defense Express, the Inguar-3 platform has already demonstrated survivability in combat conditions and serves as a base for multiple variants, including troop transport, drone operator vehicles, and other specialized configurations.
The company has also previously showcased a pickup version for UAV crews and is reportedly working on lighter and 6×6 variants.
Earlier, Inguar-3 armored vehicle remained operational after being struck and set on fire by a Russian FPV drone, successfully evacuating its crew to safety. The vehicle, equipped with anti-drone mesh, electronic warfare systems, and STANAG 4569 Level 3 armor, continued moving despite visible flames.
