The Inguar-3, a domestically produced armored vehicle developed by Ukrainian company Inguar Defense, has successfully completed testing in active combat conditions and is set to be delivered to the Defense Forces of Ukraine in 2025.

The vehicle has already been modified based on feedback from units that tested it on the front lines.

In an interview with Army TV on March 22, Inguar Defense co-founder Artem Yushchuk confirmed that the vehicle underwent two key field tests in 2024. The first took place during combat operations with the 12th Azov Brigade of the National Guard in the Serebrianka Forest, where the Inguar-3 was used for casualty evacuation and continued to operate despite sustaining damage from a drone-dropped munition.

The second test occurred near the Russian border in the Sumy region, where the vehicle was evaluated on swampy and difficult terrain.

Following these trials, the Inguar-3 was upgraded based on military feedback. All production models will include an integrated electronic warfare (EW) system operated from within the cabin. Additionally, the company is working on a solution to enable the vehicle to be factory-equipped with anti-drone mesh shielding.

The vehicle also features cameras in place of traditional mirrors, providing visibility via internal displays. This system has proven effective both during the day and at night and will be included in all future vehicle lines from the company.

A remotely operated weapon station is under development for the Inguar-3, designed to support a 12.7 mm Browning M2 machine gun, grenade launcher, or PKT machine gun.

The vehicle meets NATO standards and is equipped with adaptive suspension, reinforced armor, a 356-horsepower engine, and an automatic transmission for effective off-road performance. The estimated cost per unit is $420,000.

Earlier, Ukraine’s Armed Forces ramped up repairs of US-supplied M113 armored personnel carriers using locally manufactured spare parts. According to the Logistics Forces Command, overhauls are now conducted directly at logistics bases, cutting repair times and reducing reliance on foreign support.
