The brigade released footage of the operation, showing its personnel targeting the Russian air defense system.
“We are systematically blinding enemy air defenses and making Russia’s military-industrial complex poorer,” the brigade stated.
The Buk-M3, which entered service with the Russian military in 2016, is an advanced medium-range surface-to-air missile system that forms part of Russia’s multilayered air defense network. It is capable of intercepting aircraft, cruise missiles, drones, and other aerial threats at distances of up to 70 kilometers (43 miles) and altitudes of up to 35 kilometers.
Unlike its predecessors, the Buk-M3 uses sealed launch containers to house its missiles. Each launcher can accommodate up to six ready-to-launch missiles and operate in coordination with dedicated transport and reloading vehicles.

In a separate operation, Ukrainian forces targeted a Russian Iskander-M missile system repair facility, a radar installation, logistics infrastructure, and concentrations of Russian troops in a series of strikes carried out on October 12 and during the night of October 13.
Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed the operations on October 13, reporting that multiple Russian military targets had been struck both inside Russia and across Russian-occupied Ukrainian territories.
