According to the 413th Regiment, the Snizhne plant is an important part of Russia’s defense-industrial base and specializes in components for gas-turbine engines, including compressor and turbine discs and blades.
The unit stated that the plant supplies parts for engines used in Russian attack aircraft and combat helicopters.
Fire Point described the facility as a key Russian defense factory and reported that FP-2 strike drones were used in the attack.
Days earlier, Ukrainian FP-2 strike drones destroyed a Russian Pantsir-S2 air defense system that had been blocking Ukrainian UAVs from reaching targets deeper behind Russian lines. Footage showed the system burning before secondary explosions tore apart much of the vehicle.
