"Today, there was no silence at the front; combat operations took place. We have documented all of this. We also see that Russia has no intention of ending this war, and unfortunately, we are preparing for new attacks. However, there must be peace. That is exactly what we are working toward. The defense of Ukraine, the independence of Ukraine, and security for our people—these are the most important things," Zelenskyy said.

During a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, officials focused on the threat of Russian aerial bombs. Zelenskyy mentioned that Ukraine is developing its own technological solutions and equivalents to these weapons to provide a mirror response to Russian tactics.

The President also addressed the role of the United States, noting that Washington continues to prioritize the defense of Ukraine against Russia’s full-scale invasion despite other global challenges.

Defense Minister Rustem Umerov reported on recent meetings in America with both political leaders and technology companies, confirming that the US remains deeply involved in the diplomatic process.

Regarding international cooperation, Zelenskyy announced that 20 nations are now working with Ukraine on various levels to establish Drone Deals. He noted that political agreements are already in place with several countries, leading to upcoming manufacturing contracts. Ukraine is also beginning preparations for a similar security agreement with Canada to expand cooperation in the drone sector.

Furthermore, Ukraine is in talks with European partners and the US to produce anti-ballistic missiles for air defense systems on Ukrainian soil.

Zelenskyy emphasized that the strategic goal is to manufacture all types of air defense and necessary weapon systems within Ukraine or through joint ventures with Europe to ensure the country remains at a high technological level.

The President shared that Ukraine is preparing for a significant army reform scheduled to begin in June. The government is also expecting the first installments from a European support package totaling approximately $97 billion.

On May 11, Germany and Ukraine entered into a strategic partnership to manufacture long-range "Deep Strike" drones. This collaboration aimed to bolster Ukraine’s defense capabilities by producing advanced unmanned aerial systems capable of reaching targets at distances up to 1,500 kilometers.

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius stated that the development of these systems was a direct response to the evolving needs of the modern battlefield, emphasizing that the agreement included the transfer of technology and the establishment of maintenance hubs within Ukraine.
