Russia’s ruling party United Russia secured an actual vote share of only 34% once fraudulent ballots were removed, based on analysis by Novaya Gazeta Europe, ASTRA reports.
This figure stands 1.7 times lower than the officially reported outcome, which placed the party at nearly 58%.

The findings rely on a statistical approach created by physicist Sergey Shpilkin, which calculates genuine voter participation by studying how party choices align with turnout levels across individual polling stations.
Valid polling stations form a balanced core when mapped against turnout data, whereas stations impacted by fraud create an elongated tail, according to ASTRA.
In the most recent election cycle, honest precincts centered around a 34% baseline for United Russia, forming a clear, symmetrical cluster. The statistical study suggests this number represents the likely outcome of the vote in the absence of manipulation.
The calculations operate under the premise that votes cast for competing parties remained genuine, meaning the leading party's performance should naturally follow turnout patterns similar to other candidates.
Analysts at Novaya Gazeta Europe noted that two electoral experts reviewed and validated these findings. To maintain data accuracy, researchers excluded Moscow due to the widespread usage of electronic voting, which alters physical paper ballot metrics.
According to Central Election Commission data gathered after processing 96.95% of protocols, United Russia officially earned 57.83% of the vote.
The Communist Party received 13.76%, the Liberal Democratic Party gathered 9.01%, and New People won 7.96%. While A Fair Russia initially appeared to miss the 5% threshold required to enter parliament during morning counts, the Central Election Commission later stated the party successfully passed the required barrier.
As reported by ASTRA, voters at specific Moscow polling stations were coerced into using the electronic voting system. Meanwhile, Ramzan Kadyrov secured 99.85% of the vote in the Chechen head elections.
Official figures show United Russia is set to hold its largest parliamentary delegation in history following a record official turnout of 59.32%.
As stated by Central Election Commission head Ella Pamfilova, authorities registered only two cases of physical ballot stuffing across the nation.
Pamfilova asserted via the official commission website: “The percentage of reports of committed violations is minimal — if calculated in figures, it will not even be a hundredth of a percent across 91 thousand election commissions! This is many times less than during the elections in 2021.”
In contrast with official claims, analyst Boris Ovchinnikov stated in a conversation with ASTRA that fraudulent votes accounted for approximately 55% of the total tally attributed to United Russia.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously stated that the Kremlin intended to use the orchestrated vote to manufacture the appearance of public support for the war before rapidly conscripting several hundred thousand additional troops by the end of the year.
