UNITED24 Turns 4 With Nearly $4 Billion Raised for Ukraine—and a New Mission Ahead

Four years after its launch, UNITED24 has grown from a wartime fundraising platform into a global support network spanning more than 140 countries and nearly $4 billion raised for Ukraine—now expanding again with new programs and partnerships.
Ukraine’s official fundraising platform UNITED24 marked its fourth anniversary with UNITED24 MODE, its third major summit in Kyiv, bringing together government officials, servicemen, medics, athletes, creators, partners, and ambassadors while unveiling new initiatives for the next stage of its work.
We bring you stories from the ground. Your support keeps our team in the field.
The August 21 event was opened by UNITED24 initiator, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who highlighted the platform’s achievements and thanked people around the world who have supported Ukraine since its launch in 2022. Eight donors were awarded Ukraine’s Order of Merit for their contributions.
“I want to thank everyone who chose Ukraine’s side in this war. I thank all of you that UNITED24, our Ukrainian government fundraising platform, has been operating for the 5th year. A tool that helps Ukraine build thousands of strong and heartfelt connections with the whole world,” he said.

“Over the entire duration of UNITED24's activity, from the founding of the platform in 2022 until today, almost $4 billion have been raised for the needs of Ukraine via this fundraising alone. Every donation, every manifestation of support for Ukraine from different parts of the world creates an extremely strong emotional connection with Ukraine—faith in Ukraine, as well as in values that inspire our people to defend in war and achieve results,” Zelenskyy added.

Over four years, UNITED24 donors, partners, ambassadors, and governments of friendly countries have raised $3.9 billion for Ukraine through five program areas.

Those funds have helped purchase hundreds of drones and ground robotic systems, ambulances and armored medical evacuation vehicles, equip hospitals with modern medical technology, rebuild dozens of schools and bridges, and provide assistance to thousands of people.

The summit also brought two major announcements.
UNITED24 and Ukrainian game developer GSC Game World launched their second joint fundraiser, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Cost of Hope, which will support humanitarian demining in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone.
UNITED24 also unveiled its sixth program, Sports Development, created together with Ukraine’s Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The summit program covered Ukraine’s international visibility, defense technology, humanitarian demining, healthcare, public advocacy, opportunities for younger generations, sports development, and Ukraine’s Antarctic program.
Among those attending were, Serhii Kyslytsia, Andrii Sybiha, Matvii Bidnyi, Mstyslav Chernov, Daria Bilodid, and Mykhailo Kokhan.

UNITED24 ambassadors Katheryn Winnick, Liev Schreiber, José Andrés, and Oleksandr Zinchenko participated directly in panels connected to their areas of work.
Mark Hamill, Timothy Snyder, Scott Kelly, Misha Collins, and Ivanna Sakhno joined the summit remotely.

The event was sponsored by longtime UNITED24 partner Uber, which has supported Ukraine since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale war of aggression and has already helped fund 62 ambulances for Ukrainian medics, as well as Ukrainian defense technology company Fire Point, which partnered with UNITED24 for today’s summit.

During the summit, another UNITED24 partner, Help Ukraine Now, contributed an additional $200,000 for new resuscitation vehicles.
The anniversary underscored how far UNITED24 has expanded since Zelenskyy launched the platform in May 2022. What began as a centralized way for people abroad to donate directly to Ukraine has grown into a global fundraising network spanning defense, healthcare, reconstruction, education, humanitarian needs, and now sports.
More than $3.9 billion has been raised from donors in over 140 countries since the platform was created.
UNITED24’s ambassador network includes Barbra Streisand, Liev Schreiber, Mark Hamill, Mark Strong, Katheryn Winnick, Ivanna Sakhno, Alyssa Milano, Hilary Swank, Misha Collins, Imagine Dragons, Demna, Michel Hazanavicius, Scott Kelly, Bear Grylls, Timothy Snyder, Richard Branson, Brad Paisley, Francis Fukuyama, José Andrés, Nobel laureates Paul Nurse, Edward Moser, and May-Britt Moser, as well as Ukrainian athletes Andriy Shevchenko, Elina Svitolina, Oleksandr Usyk, and Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Four years after its launch, UNITED24 has evolved beyond a fundraising tool into one of Ukraine’s largest international networks connecting individual donors, companies, governments, and public figures directly with projects supporting the country.
