Nearly four years into Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the situation for civilians is growing increasingly dire, even as high-profile peace negotiations dominate international attention, the United Nations’ top human rights official warned during a session of the UN Human Rights Council.

Photographs, messages, and an audio recording recovered from the phone of Aleksei Bibartsev, a Russian soldier with the call sign “Voron” (the Crow), are being cited by a source from the Ukrainian intelligence as evidence of alleged incestuous and pedophilic abuse involving his two daughters, aged 9 and 15, as well as his efforts to find a woman willing to join them.
