Tomáš Nagy

Senior Research Fellow for Nuclear, Space, and Missile Defence, Future of Security Programme with GLOBSEC

Tomáš A. Nagy is a Senior Research Fellow for Nuclear, Space and Missile Defense with GLOBSEC, a Bratislava-based GLOBSEC think-tank.

Tomáš A. Nagy had been Slovakia's representative in NATO's Nuclear Planning Group's SG and previously served as Senior Policy Advisor to two Deputy Ministers of Defence until recently.

Prior to public service, T.A. Nagy was a Research Fellow within the Defence and Security Programme at the GLOBSEC Policy Institute (GPI)—which predominantly concentrates on challenges related to the changing European and global security environment. In 2022, he was a ReThink CEE Fellow with the German Marshall Fund of the US, where he worked on regional security cooperation and an Arms Control Negotiation Academy (ACONA) Fellow.

He works on a wide array of security-related issues within the context of transatlantic relations, regional defence cooperation and nuclear affairs.

Tomáš A. Nagy is an alumnus of international relations programmes of the Metropolitan University Prague, Sciences Po Paris and the University of St Andrews. He devoted his Bachel’s thesis to the study of the historical development of the US National Security Council. During his post-graduate studies he concentrated on the history of global governance within the realm of nuclear politics.
