French company Elistair has developed a specialized cable-based power supply system for the Parrot ANAFI UKR drone.

The system is designed for military personnel, police, and emergency services requiring prolonged and uninterrupted area monitoring, according to Militarnyi on October 21.

By delivering a continuous electric current through a thin 110-meter tether attached to a ground station, the unmanned aerial vehicle can stay airborne for hours at altitudes of up to 100 meters without needing battery replacements

The station allows operators to patrol borders, secure critical infrastructure, maintain public order during large events, and manage emergency response operations. Deploying the equipment requires no complex preparation and can be fully set up in the field in less than two minutes.

“Thanks to this new solution, we provide operational endurance for a drone that is already trusted by our defense and security customers,” said Guillaume de Marliave, CEO of Elistair, Militarnyi reported.

Parrot representatives noted that the integration expands the capabilities of the drone while maintaining its overall reliability and data protection against interception.

Elistair equipment is currently deployed in more than 70 countries worldwide, with over 2,000 ground stations in operation.

In June 2025, Parrot unveiled the ANAFI UKR reconnaissance quadcopter at the Paris Air Show, tailored specifically to the requirements of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. The drone performs close-range aerial reconnaissance during both day and night.

The developers state that the aircraft features high resistance to electronic warfare jamming and can operate in combat areas without GPS satellite navigation signals. The standard battery setup offers a maximum flight time of 38 minutes and an operational range of 23 kilometers.
