102 Ukrainian POWs Executed by Russian Forces, Says Prosecutor General
Law enforcement has information about the execution of 102 Ukrainian prisoners of war by Russian soldiers on the battlefield. This was shared with Slidstvo.Info by the Office of the Prosecutor General on Monday, October 14.
Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets has already sent letters to the UN and the International Committee of the Red Cross, emphasizing the violation of the Geneva Convention.
On October 4, Yurii Bilousov, head of the Department for Combating Crimes Committed in Armed Conflict, stated that about 80% of all executions of Ukrainian soldiers by Russians occurred in 2024. At that time, 93 Ukrainian servicemen had already been confirmed dead.
On October 13, it was reported that Russian army has executed nine more Ukrainian soldiers who surrendered near the settlement of Zelenyi Shlyakh in the Kursk region. Sources from the 1st Separate Tank Brigade revealed that the Ukrainian soldiers, operating in what they believed to be a relatively safe area, were forced into contact with Russian troops. Despite resisting, their ammunition supplies were limited, leading them to surrender.
