Sadurska completed the dive in 3 minutes 32 seconds, taking ten strokes before entering freefall and thirty-one on the ascent. Organizers noted the steadiness of her technique, noting it was particularly impressive given the physical demands of the no-fins discipline.

In total, this is the eighth world record in Constant Weight No Fins for the Ukrainian athlete—Kateryna has broken it for the third time in a row at the tournament in Dominica. Sadurska first set a world record in July 2023, when she achieved a 74-meter dive at Vertical Blue, according to Suspilne Sport.

Sadurska said she heard whale clicks near the bottom of the descent, a moment she described as unforgettable.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian sumo wrestler Danylo Yavghustyshyn has made national sports history by becoming the first athlete from Ukraine to claim the Emperor’s Cup—the highest honor in professional sumo—at Japan’s renowned Kyushu Basho, Suspilne reported on November 23.

The tournament, held from November 9 to 23 in Fukuoka, is the last of the six major annual sumo competitions. This year’s event included two Ukrainian competitors: Serhii Sokolovskyi, who fights under the shikona Shishi Masaru, and Yavghustyshyn, known on the dohyo as Aonishiki.

Earlier, Ukrainian Marines took gold at the Strong Spirit’s Games in Madrid.

Veterans Denys Chabanov and Ihor Iliushkin secured top medals at the international adaptive sports competition for combat veterans, a result the unit described as a powerful testament to the resilience and determination of Ukrainian warriors.
