A Russian Selfie Led Ukraine’s Drones Straight to a Complex EW System, Video

A Russian serviceman inadvertently revealed his unit’s location by filming a video showcasing a new electronic warfare (EW) system designed to counter Ukrainian drones.
Shortly after the video appeared online, Ukrainian forces struck the position with FPV drones, destroying both the EW system and its carrier vehicle.
According to the Ukrainian Telegram channels Supernova+ and volunteer Serhii Sternenko, footage of the Russian soldier’s post and the subsequent strike appeared online in late September.
The original Russian video showed troops deploying a complex EW setup with both sectoral and omnidirectional antennas intended to jam Ukrainian drones.
The same position was later hit by several Ukrainian FPV drones, which precisely targeted the omnidirectional antenna mounted in the bed of a pickup truck.
Following the strike, the same soldier posted another video showing the aftermath—both the EW unit and the pickup truck were completely destroyed.
Earlier, a Ukrainian FPV drone from Lasar’s Group successfully infiltrated a Russian Buk air defense unit by landing on a 9A316 launch-loading vehicle and riding it undetected for 15 kilometers.
Once near the main launcher, the drone self-destructed, causing a powerful explosion that likely damaged or destroyed part of the system, according to the National Guard of Ukraine.
