On September 10–11, Kyiv hosted the Fifth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, an international humanitarian event that gathered representatives from more than 20 countries, including first ladies and gentlemen, ministers of education, Nobel Prize laureates, teachers, and researchers.

Accompanied by educational initiative Activitis Education, this year’s Summit Education That Shapes the World took place in a two-day format for the first time and was the largest in terms of participants.

“Children and young people are our future. The quality of that future depends on the level of education. That is why Activitis Education joined and became an official partner of the Fifth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen,” said company shareholder Kostiantyn Zhukovskyi.

The agenda centered on four key issues: ensuring access to education as a basic right, the ethical use of technology and innovation, the role of education in fostering peace and humanistic values, and the recognition of teaching as a vital profession.

During the summit Activitis Education presented a social video focusing on the importance of inclusive and equal access to learning. The video told three different stories illustrating the barriers and opportunities in education for students, young people with disabilities, and members of the business community.

Another shareholder, Maksym Kushnariov noted that knowledge is the foundation that enables a person to build themselves and achieve their dreams, adding that this is why participation in the Summit holds special importance for the company.

Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine is implementing a large-scale program to equip schools with energy independence, allowing them to function for up to 12 hours without electricity.
