Build With Ukraine: Denmark to Begin Manufacturing Ukrainian Defense Systems

Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen signed a Letter of Intent to launch joint production of Ukrainian weapons on Danish territory on June 25 in The Hague.
According to the statement, published by Ukrainian Ministry of Defense on June 25, this document marks the first step in implementing the Build with Ukraine initiative, which the two sides began developing during the previous Ramstein-format meeting.
Denmark has already committed approximately $74 million to launch production facilities aimed at bolstering Ukraine’s Defense Forces, according to the Ministry of Defense.

“This is a strategic move that not only boosts our joint defense capabilities but also strengthens supply chains, creates new opportunities for technology exchange, and deepens the integration of our defense sectors,” Umerov emphasized.
The minister also expressed his gratitude to the Danish government for its trust, consistent support of Ukraine, and readiness to develop a strong security and defense partnership.
Earlier, Denmark unveiled its 26th security assistance package for Ukraine, committing $634.74 million over the next four years to strengthen the country’s defense capabilities. According to a statement from the Danish government, a portion of the funding will be reimbursed through the European Union’s European Peace Facility.
