Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,010 Troops, 3 Tanks and 44 Artillery Systems in One Day

Russian forces lost 1,010 personnel along with multiple armored vehicles, artillery systems, and air defense assets over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on March 7.
According to the latest battlefield update, Russia’s total estimated combat losses since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have reached:
personnel: approximately 1,272,360 (+1,010);
tanks: 11,737 (+3);
armored combat vehicles: 24,151 (+3);
artillery systems: 38,004 (+44);
multiple launch rocket systems: 1,670 (+1);
air defense systems: 1,322 (+2);
aircraft: 435 (no change);
helicopters: 349 (no change);
operational-tactical UAVs: 161,858 (+1,868);
cruise missiles: 4,384 (no change);
warships/boats: 30 (no change);
submarines: 2 (no change);
vehicles and fuel tankers: 81,812 (+170);
special equipment: 4,080 (no change).
The General Staff also reported 148 combat engagements across the front line during the past day.

The heaviest fighting occurred in the Kostyantynivka and Pokrovsk sectors, where Russian forces carried out 23 and 24 assault attempts respectively.
Intense combat activity was also reported in the Huliaipole direction with 19 attacks, while Ukrainian forces repelled nine assault attempts in the Sloviansk sector and eight attacks in the Lyman sector.
In other areas, Russian forces conducted five attacks in the Kupiansk direction and five attempts to break Ukrainian defensive lines in the Southern Slobozhanskyi direction.

Ukrainian troops also repelled smaller-scale assaults in the Kramatorsk, Oleksandrivka, Orikhiv, and Prydniprovske sectors, according to the General Staff.
Ukrainian defense officials added that Russia continued artillery shelling and aerial strikes across multiple regions of the front line, while Ukrainian forces maintained defensive positions and repelled assaults across all operational directions.
Earlier, Ukrainian forces destroyed a Russian TOS-1A “Solntsepyok” heavy flamethrower system along with several armored vehicles in the Huliaipole direction of Zaporizhzhia region. According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the strike was carried out by the “Phoenix” border unit using a drone shortly after the system fired a single shot from its position.
