Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,470 Troops, Two Helicopters, and 119 Artillery Systems in One Day

Russian forces lost 1,470 troops and 119 artillery systems over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on the morning of April 30.
According to the latest figures, Russia’s total combat losses since the start of its full-scale invasion in February 2022 have reached approximately 1,330,290 personnel.

The General Staff also reported additional equipment losses, including seven tanks and seven armored fighting vehicles. Ukraine’s forces destroyed 19 artillery systems, bringing the total to 40,944, along with one multiple launch rocket system.
Losses in other categories included two helicopters and more than 1,300 operational-tactical drones, as well as 375 vehicles and fuel tankers.
Over the past day, 177 combat engagements were recorded across the frontline, with the heaviest fighting concentrated in the Pokrovsk, Huliaipole, and Kostiantynivka directions.

Russian forces carried out two missile strikes, launching a total of two missiles, along with 69 airstrikes that involved dropping 226 guided aerial bombs.
In addition, Russian troops deployed 9,683 strike drones and conducted 3,326 shelling attacks against Ukrainian positions and towns, including 48 using multiple launch rocket systems.
Earlier, reports emerged that Ukrainian military intelligence units, in coordination with Territorial Defense forces, carried out an operation that resulted in the heaviest reported personnel losses for Russia’s Rosgvardia-affiliated “Akhmat” unit since the start of the full-scale invasion.
Ukrainian forces used a combination of drone strikes and artillery to target the group, destroying military transport and armored vehicles. At least 40 Russian fighters were killed, with more than 80 others wounded.
