The Danish government and its parliamentary defense committee have approved the details of a new military aid package for Ukraine, valued at 1.4 billion Danish kroner (approximately $217 million), Denmark’s Ministry of Defence announced on November 11.

According to the ministry, this marks the 28th package of military assistance Denmark has committed to Ukraine since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion.

The new aid includes 100 million kroner in additional funding for the so-called “Danish model”—a strategy that supports the production of weapons directly in Ukraine. This approach is designed to strengthen Ukraine’s domestic defense manufacturing capabilities while ensuring a more resilient and sustainable supply of arms.

In addition, more than 370 million kroner will go toward the PURL initiative, which involves the purchase of American-made weapons for Ukraine. Another 80 million kroner is allocated for fuel, which will be procured through NATO’s Support and Procurement Agency.

“With this package, we’re ensuring that Ukraine will receive several critical combat capabilities in the coming months—both through the Danish model and the PURL initiative,” said Danish Defence Minister Troels.

Earlier, Denmark committed around $1.37 million to support Ukraine’s efforts in preserving and restoring its cultural heritage, which has been severely damaged by the ongoing war Russian invasion.
