Deputy Commander of Russia's 810th Naval Brigade Reportedly Killed in Lgov Strike
On December 25, Salim Mukharbetovich Pashtov, the deputy commander of Russia’s 810th Naval Infantry Brigade, was reportedly killed in the city of Lgov, located in Russia's Kursk region.
This was reported by the deceased's sister in a group dedicated to the 810th Brigade on the Russian social media VKontakte.
At the same time, the "Polkovnik GSH" Telegram channel reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine targeted the command post of the 810th Naval Infantry Brigade in Russia's Lgov city, Kursk region. The channel claims that several Russian military personnel were in the building at the time of the strike, causing at least seven casualties.
Previously, Ukraine’s Armed Forces revealed striking the command post of Russia's 810th Separate Naval Infantry Brigade situated in an abandoned civilian building in the village of Lgov.
According to RIA Novosti , the strike was carried out using a HIMARS rocket launcher.
The Militarnyi news outlet suggests that the strike targeted the brigade's officer corps responsible for managing units and issuing orders.
Ukraine officially announced carrying out an operation in the Kursk region on August 12. Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy revealed earlier that the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched a preemptive incursion in the Kursk region to disrupt Russian plans to capture Kharkiv and Sumy regions.
