Ukrainian Forces Strike Russian Command Post in Kursk Region, Officer Casualties Reported
On the night of Wednesday, December 25, Ukraine’s Armed Forces struck the command post of the Russian 810th Separate Naval Infantry Brigade, which was located in an abandoned civilian building in the village of Lgov, Kursk region, Russia.
This was reported by Ukraine’s Strategic Command on their official account on Facebook.
“This strike is part of a comprehensive campaign to weaken the Russian Armed Forces’ ability to coordinate military operations against the people of Ukraine,” stated the message of the Ukrainian Strategic Command.
“The Ukrainian Armed Forces are capable of striking anywhere and at any time to protect the Ukrainian people from Russian aggression.”
Andrii Kovalenko, Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation reported that the Russian side suffered losses as a result of the Ukrainian strike.
“In Lgov, Russia’s Kursk region, following the strike on the command post of the 810th Brigade, the enemy suffered losses among its officer corps,” Kovalenko wrote.
Ukraine officially announced carrying out an operation in the Kursk region on August 12 and successfully created a buffer zone within Russian territory as a result of this military operation.
