Dua Lipa’s Service95 Event Raises Funds for Medical Transport in Ukraine

Dua Lipa has purchased a pickup truck for the First Separate Medical Battalion, with the funds raised during a Service95 event.
We bring you stories from the ground. Your support keeps our team in the field.
The contribution was confirmed by Roman Hryshchuk, a member of the Verkhovna Rada and the battalion itself via Threads on April 21.
“The probability that Dua Lipa would help to provide a vehicle to our unit might not be high… but it’s never be a zero. We’re grateful to Dua Lipa, Service95, and Driving Ukraine initiative for this powerful pickup truck for the First Separate Medical Battalion. It will help us carry out life-saving missions in the combat zone,” the battalion wrote in their post on Instagram.
In March, Service95, a platform established by pop star Dua Lipa, hosted a charity event to raise funds for Ukraine at the Avalon Cafe in Bermondsey. Reported by the platform on March 19, the “Club For” event coincided with the second anniversary of the full-scale invasion, drawing a diverse crowd to support international aid efforts.
All proceeds from the evening were donated to Driving Ukraine, a UK-based nonprofit that converts decommissioned vehicles into ambulances and transport for the frontlines.
Founded by Fynn Watt, the organization has already supplied more than 300 vehicles to Ukraine. The latest project, “Convoy 55,” featured an all-female team delivering essential medical supplies to Lviv in honor of International Women’s Day.

Beyond the music, the event served as a platform for social activism, bringing together the Ukrainian community and humanitarian volunteers to demonstrate collective solidarity.
Service95 noted that the gathering acted as a testament to the fact that "nightlife can be a powerful platform for social change." The event provided a space for participants to unite in raising awareness, supporting Ukraine, and demonstrating collective solidarity.
Underscoring the critical need for ongoing global assistance, Fynn Watt stated, “The longer this invasion persists, the more challenging it becomes for people on the ground.”

This spirit of cultural solidarity extends beyond the dance floor and into the recording studio, as other global icons continue to use their craft to support Ukraine. War Child Records debuted the much-anticipated charity compilation HELP (2), a fundraising initiative dedicated to supporting children in conflict zones, including Ukraine, Gaza, Yemen, and Sudan.
The project features a roster of international superstars such as Oasis, Depeche Mode, and Olivia Rodrigo.
According to a report by Consequence Sound, the album serves as the spiritual successor to the landmark 1995 HELP record, which raised nearly $2 million for children impacted by the Bosnian War. While the original featured legends like Radiohead and Blur, this new iteration continues that legacy with a massive 23-track collection.
