Swim is one of the tracks from BTS’s upcoming album Arirang, released on March 20. This marks BTS’s first album since their hiatus, which was due to the members' mandatory military service.
The title Arirang (아리랑) refers to Korea’s most famous folk song, often considered the unofficial national anthem, symbolizing cultural identity. The word has no literal translation, as it is either a proper noun or an abstract expression, often interpreted as “my beloved” or “beautiful pass.”
Additionally, the music video was shot with the collaboration of Ukrainian cinematographer Nikita Kuzmenko.
This is not Tanu Muiño’s first collaboration with international artists.
Her portfolio includes music videos for stars such as Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, Cardi B, Harry Styles, The Weeknd, Jennifer Lopez, Sam Smith, Foals, and many others.
In 2025, Muiño was named the Best Director of the Year at the Hollywood Music Video Awards for her video for Lady Gaga's "Disease," which also won the award for Best Makeup and Hairstyling.
She also created a performance for Alyona Alyona and Jerry Heil at the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest in 2024.
