Eight Injured in Russian Assault on Central Market in Nikopol

Russian forces have struck the central market in Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region, injuring 8 people, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported on Thursday, December 26.

Regional Governor Serhii Lysak provided further details, noting that seven of the injured have been hospitalized. Among them, one woman is in critical condition, while three others are in serious condition.

According to preliminary information, the attack was carried out by a suicide drone.

The assault caused significant damage to the market's commercial spaces. Governor Lysak confirmed that all injured individuals are receiving medical care.

Previously on December 25, Russia launched a massive combined attack on Ukraine using drones and missiles. The main target was energy infrastructure all across the country.
