EU Parliament Passes Resolution To Remove All Restrictions on Ukraine’s Strikes in Russia
Western partners must immediately lift restrictions on Ukraine’s use of Western-supplied weapons against legitimate military targets on Russian territory, according to a newly adopted resolution by the European Parliament.
The resolution, titled "On the Continuation of Financial and Military Support for Ukraine by EU Member States," was passed during a plenary session in Strasbourg, as reported by Ukrinform. The motion saw strong support, with 425 deputies voting in favor, 131 opposing, and 63 abstaining.
The MEPs emphasized that the insufficient supplies of ammunition and restrictions on their use "risks offsetting the impact of efforts made to date," and expressed regret about the decrease in the volume of bilateral military aid to Ukraine from the EU countries.
“MEPs reiterate their call for member states to fulfill their March 2023 commitment to deliver one million rounds of ammunition to Ukraine, and to accelerate the delivery of weapons, air defense systems and ammunition, including TAURUS missiles,“ the press release stated.
