Ukraine Reportedly Strikes Military Infrastructure in Donetsk, Luhansk With Storm Shadow Missiles

Overnight on June 30 to July 1, explosions shook occupied Donetsk, reportedly striking a metallurgical plant, according to local Telegram channels.
Russian state media, including TASS, claimed the city’s air defenses were active, likely responding to Ukrainian missile strikes involving Storm Shadow missiles.
Similar strikes were reported in Russian-occupied Luhansk, where multiple fires broke out. Preliminary accounts suggest the targets were military-related infrastructure, though any civilian impact remains unverified.
Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Anti-Disinformation Center at Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), commented on the nearly simultaneous explosions:
“Precise work against the Russians in temporarily occupied Donetsk. It’s very intense there.”
Photos and videos circulating online show smoke rising over the city, but independent verification of the damage and casualties is still pending.
Previously, it was reported that Russian forces attacked ten settlements in the Donetsk region over the past 24 hours, killing six people and injuring four.
