The Finnish government has approved its 27th military aid package for Ukraine, valued at $206 million (€198 million), the Finnish Defense Ministry announced on January 31 on its website.

“This package of almost €200 million has been built in close cooperation with the Ukrainians. We are providing exactly the kind of support that will help Ukraine defend itself in an acute situation on the front. The grip must not be relaxed, but on the contrary, at this very moment the support must be further strengthened,” Häkkänen said.

The President of the Republic decided on the matter on 31 January 2025 based on the proposal of the Government. The total value of the defense equipment delivered by Finland to Ukraine is now €2.5 billion.

“I have discussed this with my Nordic colleagues this week, and everyone has the same line. Armed assistance maintains the right of independent nations to exist and protects human lives in Ukraine,” Häkkänen stated.

On January 30, Sweden announced its largest military aid package for Ukraine to date, valued at approximately $1.2 billion, with approximately $90 million being allocated towards the production of long-range missiles and drones.
