France to Supply 12 CAESAR Self-Propelled Artillery Units to Ukraine

Ukraine will receive 12 CAESAR self-propelled artillery units from the Franco-German defense concern KNDS. 

French Defense Minister, Sébastien Lecornu, announced this on October 4 on his social media, adding that the agreement was signed on October 3 on the sidelines of an industrial forum organized in Kyiv. Financing of deliveries will be carried out at the expense of Ukraine.

The CAESAR is a wheeled 155mm self-propelled howitzer known for its mobility and precision. It is designed to destroy manpower, artillery, fortifications, and other equipment.

At the beginning of October, the KNDS defense concern launched a subsidiary in Ukraine to boost efficiency and help facilitate collaboration with Ukrainian governmental institutions and defense industry companies.
