Péter Magyar, the leader of the opposition party "Tisza" and the main rival of the current Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán on July 11 visited "Ohmatdyt" Children’s Hospital destroyed by Russia on July 8.

Yesterday, on July 10, Magyar announced a humanitarian initiative, where 'MedSpot' fund would provide medical and health equipment to local hospitals.

Magyar met with the Head of the “Ohmatdyt” hospital Volodymyr Zhovnir and talked with him about the Russian attack and its consequences, after which he said that the Hungarian people understand and know that Ukraine has the right to defend its territory.

Magyar stressed that while he also desires peace, he does not visit dictators conducting secret negotiations, hinting at Orbán’s latest visit to meet Vladimir Putin.

Magyar emphasized that he also wants peace, but he does not go to dictators in private planes and does not conduct secret negotiations, but wants to help with concrete actions, alluding to the "peaceful voyages" of Viktor Orbán.

"Of course, you can fly from dictator to dictator on luxury planes and conduct negotiations, the content of which no one really knows, or you can take concrete steps," Magyar said.

He stated that this visit proves to "Ukrainian brothers and Hungarians in Ukraine" that they can count on Hungary.
