Iranian ballistic missiles targeted a US Navy logistics facility in Bahrain. Explosions were reported in Manama as air defense systems activated across parts of the Gulf. The facility in Bahrain supports operations of the US Fifth Fleet and serves as a logistics and operational hub for American naval forces in the region.

Defence Blog reported that the attack involved ballistic missiles, though official damage assessments were not immediately released. Authorities in Bahrain had not issued detailed public statements regarding casualties or infrastructure damage at the time of publication.

At the same time, three ballistic missiles were intercepted above Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, according to NewsArmy on February 28. The base hosts US air operations and functions as a central command and logistics node supporting military activities across the Middle East.

Regional defense reporting indicated that air defense systems engaged the incoming missiles before impact. Qatari authorities had not released full assessments of potential damage or casualties.

Separately, the Israel Defense Forces said it had detected missile launches from Iranian territory toward Israel. In a statement published on X, the IDF announced that sirens were sounding in multiple regions and urged civilians to move to protected areas and remain there until further notice.

According to NAYA, Israel attempted to intercept missiles over Syrian airspace, and some projectiles reportedly reached Israeli territory.

Earlier, Iranian officials had declared preparations for retaliation and pledged a “devastating response” following joint US and Israeli actions. US President Donald Trump confirmed the start of a US operation in Iran, stating it was aimed at the “defense of the American people.”
