Italy Considers Sending Storm Shadow Missiles to Ukraine in New Military Aid Package

In a new military aid package from Italy, Ukraine could receive Storm Shadow cruise missiles.

Italy’s Minister of Defense, Guido Crosetto, is set to present the country’s parliament with the ninth package of military assistance by the end of this month. Sources indicate that alongside the previously promised SAMP-T air defense system, this package may include a shipment of Storm Shadow missiles.

The publication highlights that these missiles could potentially be deployed for strikes within Russian territory.

Previously, Italy’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani, confirmed that his country plans to deliver a second SAMP/T air defense system to Ukraine.

Italian government previously spoke against the use of their weapons provided to Ukraine for strikes on Russian territory, while a number of Ukraine’s Western allies has allowed Ukraine target strategic military targets on Russian soil.
