Kherson Cancer Hospital Targeted in Russian Aerial Strike
Last night on December 20, Russian forces conducted an airstrike on a cancer treatment facility in Kherson, utilizing two guided aerial bombs (KABs). According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, while no casualties among patients or medical staff were reported, the facility sustained significant structural damage.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops launched one of the most extensive bombardments on Kherson since the beginning of the full-scale war. Artillery strikes targeted critical infrastructure, residential areas, and social facilities across numerous settlements in the region.
According to local authorities, the attacks damaged 34 multi-story buildings, 29 private homes, gas pipelines, utility structures, garages, storage facilities, and several private vehicles. The assault left two people dead and 11 injured.
Earlier, Russian drone strikes targeted residential areas in Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv, injuring at least 12 people, including two children. In Zaporizhzhia, a nine-story building was hit, injuring four residents, while additional shelling wounded three more in nearby districts. In Kharkiv, a Shahed drone struck a multi-story building, injuring six, including a 12-year-old girl, with further damage reported in Solonytsivka.
