Kherson Downtown Under Heavy Russian Shelling, At Least Two People Killed and Six Injured

UPD: As of 16:22 (GMT+2), two civilians, a woman and a man, were killed due to Russian shelling.
Four people were injured, including two civilians and two emergency medical responders. A paramedic and a driver arrived to provide assistance to the victims but came under renewed shelling. All the injured have been hospitalized.

Russian forces are heavily shelling Kherson, the Head of the Kherson Region Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported on March 27, posting a video from the city center on Telegram.

“Currently, one person is known to be injured and was taken to the hospital by an ambulance. Preliminary reports suggest that another person has been killed,” Prokudin wrote.
An ambulance crew came under Russian fire while assisting an injured man. The medics were evacuating a 59-year-old man who had suffered blast wounds, a concussion, and abdominal injuries. At that moment, Russian forces attacked them. The blast caused injuries to the 33-year-old paramedic and the 63-year-old driver, both suffering from blast wounds and concussions.
On March 27, Ukrainian official reported that during talks in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Russia refused to discuss a halt to attacks on civilian targets.
