Kyiv Urges Partners to Buy Weapons Directly From Ukrainian Manufacturers
Ukraine proposed to its partners the purchase of Ukrainian-made weapons for use by Ukraine.
This was stated by Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on September 13 during a press conference with his Lithuanian counterpart Gabrielius Landsbergis.
"We also discussed the possibility of Lithuania purchasing Ukrainian weapons for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Work in this direction is already underway and will continue," the Minister said.
Sybiha noted that Ukrainian defense production has increased sixfold since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
"We are asking our partners to purchase weapons directly from Ukrainian manufacturers. This is also about saving money for our allies. It is also about saving time. And sometimes our weapons are even superior compared to other foreign models," Sybiha emphasized.
