Macron Announces New €2 Billion Military Aid Package for Ukraine – What’s Included?

On March 26, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and French President Emmanuel Macron held a joint press conference ahead of the upcoming security summit scheduled for March 27 in Paris. During their discussions, France announced a new €2 billion military aid package for Ukraine.
President Macron confirmed that the package would include air-to-ground missiles for Mirage fighter jets, ammunition, anti-tank missile systems, armored vehicles, and investments in Ukraine’s defense industry.
Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to Macron for France’s support, particularly for the Mirage 2000 fighter jets provided to Ukraine.
“They have become part of our air shield, helping us defend against Shahed drones and other attack UAVs. We also discussed increasing the number of Mirage jets,” Zelenskyy stated.
President Macron also addressed the broader context of the war, stating, “We are now in the final stage of Russia’s war of aggression.”
He added that discussions would continue regarding monitoring a ceasefire and finding a path toward a lasting peace.
Previously, it was reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is set to visit France on the evening of March 26, where he will be received by French President Emmanuel Macron.
